Reflections on the Supplication of Kumayl 1

According to Allamah Majlsi, Du'a Kumayl is the best du'a. This du'a, narrated from the prophet Khidr (a), has been taught by Imam Ali (a) to a prominent companion of his named Kumayl ibn Ziyad Al- Nakha'i. Although apparently prophet Khidr (a) is the one who initially composed this du'a, it can be claimed that because he is still alive and is with the Hujjah of every age and era, he may indeed have been inspired by Imam 'Ali (a).

Imam Sadiq is the sixt Shia Imam and a major figure in the Hanafi and Maliki schools of Sunni jurisprudence. He is a significant figure in the formulation of Shia doctrine. Biography of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Bahjat

On the night of the 25th of Shawwal 1334 A.H (August 23, 1916) the home of Karbalai Mahmood was blessed with the birth of a child who later went on to win the hearts of millions of lovers of knowledge and truth amongst the Shiites of the infallible household of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure progeny. He came to be known as Grand Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Bahjat, may God bless his soul.

A Brief Biography of Ayatollah Muhammad Fazel Lankarani

Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Fazel Lankarani was born in 1931 in the Holy city of Qum. His father, the late Ayatullah Fazel Lankarani was a great teacher and scholar in the Islamic Seminary of Qum. His dear mother, was a pure and noble woman of Sayed descent.

'the one who opens knowledge') (677-733) was the fifth Shia imam, succeeding his father Imam Zayn al-Abidin and succeeded by his son Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. He was the first imam descended from both grandsons of Prophet Muhammad: Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali. He is revered by Shiite Muslims for his religious leadership, and respected by Sunni Muslims for his knowledge and Islamic scholarship as a jurist in Medina.
