Daesh (ISIS) militants had taken control of 70 percent of Quneitra and Daraa governorates before the Syrian army forces, supported by its Allies, expelled them.
Meanwhile,a Syrian military source, late Thursday, said that the Syrian air defense had intercepted and destroyed a "hostile target" west of Damascus. Reported data indicted the downing of a target over the western airspace of the Syrian capital towards the Lebanese border.
The Syrian Press Agency said that the air defenses confronted an enemy target west of Damascus, according to the official Syrian news agency, SANA, without mentioning the source of the target or identifying what kind of target it is.
