Velayat in the Quranic Context

As our dear readers may recall, we began our articles on Velayat in the Qur"an on the glorious occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS). And now we have the pleasure of presenting the final discussion under this heading - in this issue - which coincides with the anniversary of Eid-ul-Ghadir. We pray that this auspicious coincidence unfolds various spiritual and mystical secrets in all our hearts, at the end of this special year that has been named as the Year of Imam Ali (AS).

Allah's Artistry In Colour | A Colorful World

Have you ever thought what it would be like to live in a world without color? Free yourself for a moment from your experience, forget all that you've learned and start using your imagination. Try to visualize your body, the people around you, the seas, the sky, trees, flowers, in short everything in black. Imagine that there is no color around you. Try to think how you would feel if people, cats, dogs, birds, butterflies, and fruits had no color at all. You would never want to live in such a world, would you?

What is the outcome of faith and good deeds?

According to the Qur’an, the fruit of these two is “taqwa”‌ (piety), and those who are pious will enter paradise for sure: “للذين اتقوا عند ربهم جنات تجري من تحتها الانهار”‌ [5].

Verse 7 "He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation"".

The Advantages of Ayatul Kursi

Verse 255 of Surah-e-Baqarah (chapter: The cow) in holy Qur’an is called Ayatul Kursi: "Allah! is besides whom there is no God, the Everliving, the self-subsisting by whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by his permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they can not comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.

Ali was born some thirty years after the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He belonged to the most respectable family of Quraish, the Banu Hashim. His father "Abu Talib" was the real uncle of the Holy Prophet who brought him up after the death of the Holy Prophet’s grandfather.
