AL-QAMAR (The Moon)
The Surah takes its name from the very first verseWan shaqq al-Qamar, thereby implying that it is a Surah in which the word al-Qamar has occurred.
Qaf
The Surah derives its name from the initial letter Qaf, thereby implying that it is the Surah which opens with the alphabetic letter Qaf.
Zariyat(Winnowing[winds])
It is derived from the very first word wa al-dhariyat, which implies that it is a Surah which begins with the word al-dhariyat.
AL –NABA
The Surah derived its name from the wordan-Naba in the second verse. This is not only a name but also a title of its subject matter, forNaba implies the news of Resurrection and Hereafter and the whole Surah is devoted to the same theme.
AL-MUDDATHTHIR (The Man Wearing a Cloak)
The Surah takes its name from the word al- muddaththir in the first verse. This also is only a name, not a title of its subject matter.
AL MUZZAMMIL (Bundled up)
The Surah has been so designated after the wordal-muzzammil occurring in the very first verse. This is only a name and not a title of its subject matter.

Previous Prophets mentioned some of the characteristics of the Prophet of Islam in their heavenly books, giving their followers the glad tidings of his future appearance.
Al-Fath (Victory)
It is derived from the words Inna fatah-na laka fat-han mubina of the very first verse. This is not only a name of the Surah but also its title in view of the subject matter, for it deals with the great victory that Allah granted to the Holy Prophet and the Muslims in the form of the Truce of Hudaibiya.
Ahqaaf (The Dunes)
It is derived from the verse 21.
Dukhan (Smoke)
The Surah takes its name from the word Dukhan which occurs in verse 10.
