Iran Seeking to Raise its Exports to Iraq

Iran is pushing forth with a 2025 vision plan to raise its exports to Iraq to $20 billion a year despite US pressures on Baghdad to keep Tehran at its arm’s length.

No More American LNG in China

The developments come amid the ongoing trade spat between Beijing and Washington. As of September 24, US President Donald Trump imposed additional tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese goods, while China retaliated with levies on $60 billion in American products, including a 10-percent tariff on US liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The statements US President Donald Trump made about the Nord Stream-2 project are indicative of Washington’s intention to make the EU finance the construction of the expensive infrastructure for the supplies of American liquefied natural gas (LNG), Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with Slovakia’s Pravda newspaper.
