Johannesburg Muslims Threaten Action over Hijab Policy

The Gauteng Education Department has confirmed they will investigate the brewing troubles at Jeppe Girls School in Johannesburg, where several Muslim pupils have been reprimanded for wearing their hijabs.

Repentance (Tawba)

This Surah is known by two names Al-Tawba and Al-Bara'a. It is called Al-Tawba because it enunciates the nature of tawba (repentance) and mentions the conditions of its acceptance (vv. 102. 118). The second name Bara'a (Release) is taken from the first word of the Surah.
