After this praise of God he would supplicate by calling down blessings upon God's Messenger Praise belongs to God, who was kind to us through Muhammad (God bless him and his Household) to the exclusion of past communities and bygone generations, displaying thereby His power, which nothing can render incapable, though it be great, and nothing can escape, though it be subtle.

In Praise of God

When he began to supplicate, he would begin praise and laudation of God saying: Praise belongs to God, the First, without a first before Him, the Last, without a last behind Him.

Supplication of the Complainers

In the Name of God, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate My God, to Thee I complain of a soul

Supplication of the Repenters

In the Name of God, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate My God, offenses have clothed me in the garment of my lowliness,

Dua Tawassul

The famous du'a of Tawassul begins with the expression,(Allahumm-a inni as'aluk-a wa atawajjah-u ilayk-a bi nabiyyik-a Nabi al-Rahma…) (O God, surly I ask you and I turn toward you by Your Messenger, the Messenger of the mercy).
