Ali Al-Akbar (p), Look-alike of the Prophet (p)
The Hashemite Prince Hazrat Ali Al-Akbar (p), son of Imam Al-Hussein (p) and Hazrat Umm-e-Layla (p), born on 11 Shaban, possessed so much remarkable resemblance to the holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad (p) that the Chief of Martyrs and Leader of the Youths of Paradise Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p) was often heard to say “Whenever I desire to see the holy prophet (p) I look at him.”
Martyrdom of Hani bin Urwah Muradi
Shaikh Mufeed says that Muhammad bin al-Aash’as came to Ubaydullah and interceded on behalf of Hani saying, “You are aware of the honor that Hani holds in this town while also his family in the tribe.
The Most Vivid Portraits of Gallantry and Sacrifice (Part 2)
On the day of the Battle of Karbala, all the companions of Imam Hussein (A.S), men and women, depicted the most vivid portraits of gallantry and sacrifice. They left their indelible marks in the chapters of history of mankind, only to be revered and emulated. Had their equivalent been found in the history of the West, they would have held them in a very high regard.
The Most Vivid Portraits of Gallantry and Sacrifice (Part 3)
The eleventh of Muharram, 61 AH was one of the worst days that the Progeny of the Prophet (A.S) had witnessed. Examining the tragedy of Karbala from its both ends, i.e. the shining side that is full of vivid images of bravery, patience and sacrifice in the cause of God and the dark side that teems with the ugliest imagery of treachery, vileness, and crime, the implications of the dialogue between God and the angels when He was informing them of Adam’s creation, would become manifestly clear:
Maxims of Imam Hussein A.S part 2
Those who worship God for the hope of gaining , they're not real worshippers ,they're merchants.
The Mother of Her Sons (Part 2)
Lady Ummul Baneen loved the Prophet's family more than she loved her own sons. When news of the heart-breaking events of Karbala reached her, she did not ask about the fate of her four sons first and instead said, "Tell me about Hussein", and when she received the news of Imam Hussein's martyrdom, she said: "All of the arteries of my heart are torn. May all of my children and whatever that exists under this azure heaven be sacrificed for the sake of Imam Hussein."
The Meritorious Lady
She was born in Medina on the 5th of the month of Jamadi al-Awwal in the 6th year of the Hijra. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was overjoyed at the birth of his first grand daughter and named her Zainab, which means Ornament of the Father. The loving father, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (A.S) was overjoyed as well and so was the mother, the Prophets daughter Hazrat Fatima Zahra (A.S).
Qasim Ibn Hassan, The Adolescent Warrior Who Sacrificed His Life in Defense of Religion
Among the famed warriors of Imam Hussein (A.S) whose names would remain alive till the end of the world is the son of our second Imam Hassan (A.S), Qasim Ibn Hassan. According to traditions he had not even reached the age of maturity. As regards his age, most reports say that he was hardly thirteen years old.
Martyrdom of the suckling child (Ali al Asghar)
His mother was Rabab, the daughter of Imru al Qays bin Adi. Sayyid Ibn Tawoos says that when Imam Hussein (A.S) saw the corpses of his youth and friends, he resolved to be martyred, and called out,
Hussein’s messenger
Who was Zaynab? Why do we look up to her? She was the granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad and Khadija, the daughter of Fatima az-Zahraa and Ali, the sister of the Youths of Paradise, Hassan and Hussein, and the beloved aunt of Imam Ali Zayn al Abideen. With such a blessed family, Zaynab had such perfect examples to look up to.
