Caravanserais or inns have been around forever. In the city of Semnan, there are several old stone inns. The inns were a place where caravans traveling from China to Europe, would use a resting place. What is also unique about the inns is that they are located in and between the Silk Road. The Silk Route is an old road used by travelers that would go back and forth from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
