Worship and Servitude of Zainab (PUBH)
Zainab (PBUH) learned from the Holy Qur’an that the objective of creating man is for him to reach the pinnacle of servitude.[1]
Zainab (PBUH), the Great Protector of Values
Where and from whom can a woman, who does not want to live in ignorance and surrender to materialistic life, learn the art of living? Is there a way to live correctly and educate oneself in this ever changing material world with its enticing and tempting attractions that can allure any pious person?
Chastity and Piety of Zainab (PBUH)
Chastity and piety are the most admirable virtues for women. Zainab learned chastity in the school of her father. Her father used to say: a martyred fighter who lays his life in the way of Allah, will not be rewarded more than a person who is powerful but is chaste, that is, who can commit sin but refrains from doing it. A chaste person is very close to angels.”[1]
Eloquence and articulateness of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH)
Having innate talent is not enough for an orator who wants to talks in an eloquent and articulate manner, they must repeatedly practice; they must also be completely prepared physically and psychically during orating as to be able to present an eloquent and articulate speech.
Human Rights an Overview
Many of us believe that Human Rights are granted by the government or legislative assemblies, while Islam considers Human Rights are granted and sanctioned by God. History had demonstrated that governments and rulers have altered Human Rights to benefit and reinforce circumstances in their favor.
The Mother of Her Sons (Part 1)
Lady Fatima, daughter of Hizam bin Khalid bin Rabi, more commonly referred to as Lady Ummul Baneen (peace be upon her), ranks among the most esteemed and pious of Muslim women to this date and will remain so due to her courage, piety, and steadfastness towards the Prophet and his Household (peace be upon them).
The Mother of Her Sons (Part 2)
Lady Ummul Baneen loved the Prophet's family more than she loved her own sons. When news of the heart-breaking events of Karbala reached her, she did not ask about the fate of her four sons first and instead said, "Tell me about Hussein", and when she received the news of Imam Hussein's martyrdom, she said: "All of the arteries of my heart are torn. May all of my children and whatever that exists under this azure heaven be sacrificed for the sake of Imam Hussein."
The Examples of Lady Zainab and Lady Sakina
Lady Zainab, daughter of Imam Ali (peace be upon them both): For those who know the story and events of Karbala and Ashura, a few seconds of thought about what the name "Zainab" means to us can go something along the lines of: bravery, courage, strength, passion, dedication, love, leader, and most prominent for most, sacrifice.
The Meritorious Lady
She was born in Medina on the 5th of the month of Jamadi al-Awwal in the 6th year of the Hijra. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was overjoyed at the birth of his first grand daughter and named her Zainab, which means Ornament of the Father. The loving father, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (A.S) was overjoyed as well and so was the mother, the Prophets daughter Hazrat Fatima Zahra (A.S).
