The wonder box or perspective box was introduced to Iran in the late 18th century by Mozzafar Eddin shah. He was attending an international exhibition in France when he first saw the wonder box. The apparatus was a golden source of entertainment. In today’s Tehran, not only do they still exist, but they are also being hand-made in certain areas of the city.
