Fourteen Bahraini Shiite scholars voiced their support for a roadmap, which seeks a comprehensive national initiative aimed at tackling Bahrain’s political crisis.

The roadmap was unveiled last week by the country’s leading Shiite cleric Sayyed Abdullah Al-Ghoraifi, who called on the regime in Manama to create a suitable atmosphere for political dialogue.

In a brief statement, the scholars hailed Sayyed Al-Ghoraifi ‘wise’ effort, saying that it “insures stability, security and dignity for all”.

There is still no word on how the roadmap was received by Bahrain’s ruling Al-Khalifa clan.
