الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّّذِي لاَ تَنْفَدُ خَزَائِنُهُ

al¦amdu lill¡hi alladh¢ l¡ tanfadu khaz¡'inuh£

All praise be to Allah Whose treasures are inexhaustible

وَلاَ يَخَافُ آمِنُهُ

wa l¡ yakh¡fu ¡minuh£

and those whom are secured by Him shall never fear anything.

رَبِّ إِنِ ٱرْتَكَبْتُ ٱلْمَعَاصِيَ

rabbi in irtakabtu alma`¡¥iya

O my Lord, as I have committed acts of disobedience to You,

فَذٰلِكَ ثِقَةٌ مِنِّي بِكَرَمِكَ

fadh¡lika thiqatun minn¢ bikaramika

this was only out of my full confidence in Your generosity.

إِنَّكَ تَقْبَلُ ٱلتَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِكَ

innaka taqbalu alttawbata `an `ib¡dika

Verily, You accept the repentance of Your servants,

وَتَعْفُو عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ

wa ta`f£ `an sayyi'¡tihim

pardon their wrongdoings,

وَتَغْفِرُ ٱلزَّلَلَ

wa taghfiru alzzalala

and forgive their flaws.

وَإِنَّكَ مُجِيبٌ لِدَاعِيكَ

wa innaka muj¢bun lid¡`¢ka

You verily respond to one who prays You,

وَمِنْهُ قَرِيبٌ

wa minhu qar¢bun

and You are close to him.

وَانَا تَائِبٌ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلْخَطَايَا

wa an¡ t¡'ibun ilayka min alkha§¡y¡

I am repenting before You from my sins

وَرَاغِبٌ إِلَيْكَ فِي تَوْفِيرِ حَظِّي مِنَ ٱلْعَطَايَا

wa r¡ghibun ilayka f¢ tawf¢ri ¦a¨¨¢ min al`a§¡y¡

and from You do I desire for a good portion of Your donations.

يَا خَالِقَ ٱلْبَرَايَا

y¡ kh¡liqa albar¡y¡

O Creator of all beings!

يَا مُنْقِذِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَدِيدَةٍ

y¡ munqidh¢ min kulli shad¢datin

O my Redeemer from all hardships!

يَا مُجِيرِي مِنْ كُلِّ مَحْذُورٍ

y¡ muj¢r¢ min kulli ma¦dh£rin

O my Rescuer from all perils!

وَفِّرْ عَلَيَّ ٱلسُّرُورَ

waffir `alayya alssur£ra

(Please do) confer upon me with pleasure

وَٱكْفِنِي شَرَّ عَوَاقِبِ ٱلامُورِ

wakfin¢ sharra `aw¡qibi al-um£ri

and save me from the evil end results of matters.

فَانْتَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ نَعْمَائِكَ وَجَزِيلِ عَطَائِكَ مَشكورٌ

fa anta all¡hu `al¡ na`m¡'ika wa jaz¢li `a§¡'ika mashk£run

Verily, You are Allah the thanked for Your bounties and affluent gifts

وَلِكُلِّ خَيرٍ مَذخُورٌ

wa likulli khayrin madhkh£r

and hoped for all good things.

لَكَ ٱلْمَحْمَدَةُ إِنْ اطَعْتُكَ

laka alma¦madatu in a§a`tuka

[O Allah,] If I obey You, then thanks to You,

وَلَكَ ٱلْحُجَّةُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُكَ

wa laka al¦ujjatu in `a¥aytuka

and if I disobey You, then You have the right (to punish me).

لاَ صُنْعَ لِي وَلاَ لِغَيْرِي فِي إِحْسَانٍ إِلاَّ بِكَ

l¡ ¥un`a l¢ wa l¡ lighayr¢ f¢ i¦s¡nin ill¡ bika

All favors that are done to me or to anyone else must come from You.

يَا كَائِناً قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

y¡ k¡'inan qabla kulli shay'in

O He Who existed before all things!

وَيَا مُكَوِّنَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa y¡ mukawwina kulli shay'in

O Author of all things!

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `al¡ kulli shay'in qad¢run

Verily, You have power over all things.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ ٱلْعَدِيلَةِ عِنْدَ ٱلْمَوْتِ

all¡humma inn¢ a`£dhu bika mina al`ad¢lati `inda almawti

O Allah, I seek Your protection against deviation at (the hour of) death,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ ٱلْمَرْجِعِ فِي ٱلْقُبُورِ

wa min sharri almarji`i f¢ alqub£ri

evil recourse in the grave,

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّدَامَةِ يَوْمَ ٱلآزِفَةِ

wa mina alnnad¡mati yawma al-¡zifati

and regret on the Day of the approaching doom.

فَاسْالُكَ انْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

fa-as'aluka an tu¥alliya `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ¡li mu¦ammadin

I therefore beseech You to send blessings to Mu¦ammad and the Household of Mu¦ammad

وَانْ تَجْعَلَ عَيْشِي عِيشَةً نَقِيَّةً

wa an taj`ala `aysh¢ `¢shatan naqiyyatan

and to make my life wholesome,

وَمِيْتَتِي مِيتَةً سَوِيَّةً

wa m¢tat¢ m¢tatan sawiyyatan

my death sound,

وَمُنْقَلَبِي مُنْقَلَباً كَرِيماً

wa munqalab¢ munqalaban kar¢man

and my resort honorable;

غَيْرَ مُخْزٍ وَلاَ فَاضِحٍ

ghayra mukhzin wa l¡ f¡¤i¦in

neither disgraceful nor scandalous.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ¡lih¢

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Mu¦ammad and his Household;

ٱلائِمَّةِ يَنَابِيعِ ٱلْحِكْمَةِ

al-a'immati yan¡b¢`i al¦ikmati

the Imams, the sources of wisdom,

وَاوْلِي ٱلنِّعْمَةِ

wa ul¢ alnni`mati

the causes of bliss,

وَمَعَادِنِ ٱلْعِصْمَةِ

wa ma`¡dini al`i¥mati

and the essences of immaculacy,

وَٱعْصِمْنِي بِهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ

wa i`¥imn¢ bihim min kulli s£'in

and protect me, in their name, against all evils,

وَلاَ تَاخُذْنِي عَلَىٰ غِرَّةٍ وَلاَ عَلَىٰ غَفْلَةٍ

wa l¡ ta'khudhn¢ `al¡ ghirratin wa l¡ `al¡ ghaflatin

do not seize me unexpectedly or inattentively,

وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ عَوَاقِبَ اعْمَالِي حَسْرَةً

wa l¡ taj`al `aw¡qiba a`m¡l¢ ¦asratan

do not allow my end result to be regretful,

وَٱرْضَ عَنِّي

war¤a `ann¢

and be pleased with me,

فَإِنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ وَانَا مِنَ ٱلظَّالِمِينَ

fa'inna maghfirataka lil¨¨¡lim¢na wa ana min al¨¨¡lim¢na

for Your forgiveness is dedicated to the wrongdoers, and I am one of these wrongdoers.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي مَا لاَ يَضُرُّكَ

all¡humma ighfir l¢ m¡ l¡ ya¤urruka

O Allah, (please do) forgive me (my faults) which do not harm You

وَاعْطِنِي مَا لاَ يَنْقُصُكَ

wa a`§in¢ m¡ l¡ yanqu¥uka

and give me from that which does not cause decrease to You.

فَإِنَّكَ ٱلْوَسِيعُ رَحْمَتُهُ

fa'innaka alwas¢`u ra¦matuh£

Verily, You are the One Whose mercy is all-embracing

ٱلْبَدِيعُ حِكْمَتُهُ

albad¢`u ¦ikmatuh£

and Whose wisdom is all-excellent.

وَاعْطِنِي ٱلسَّعَةَ وَٱلدَّعَةَ

wa a`§in¢ alssa`ata waldda`ata

(Please do) grant me opulence, comfort,

وَٱلامْنَ وَٱلصِّحَّةَ

wal-amna wal¥¥i¦¦ata

security, health,

وَٱلْنُّجُوعَ وَٱلْقُنُوعَ

walnnuj£`a walqun£`a

wholesomeness, contentment,

وَٱلشُّكْرَ وَٱلْمُعَافَاةَ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ

walshshukra walmu`¡fata walttaqw¡

thanksgiving, good health, piety,

وَٱلصَّبْرَ وَٱلصِّدْقَ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ اوْلِيَائِكَ

wal¥¥abra wal¥¥idqa `alayka wa `al¡ awliy¡'ika

patience, belief in You and Your Saints,

وَٱلْيُسْرَ وَٱلشَّكْرَ

walyusra walshshukra

affluence, and thanksgiving.

وَاعْمِمْ بِذٰلِكَ يَا رَبِّ اهْلِي وَوَلَدِي

wa a`mim bidh¡lika y¡ rabbi ahl¢ wa walad¢

(Please do) include, O my Lord, with this (request) my family members (or my wife), my sons,

وَإِخْوَانِي فِيكَ

wa ikhw¡n¢ f¢ka

and my brethren-in-faith

وَمَنْ احْبَبْتُ وَاحَبَّنِي

wa man a¦babtu wa a¦abban¢

as well as all those whom I love and those who love me

وَوَلَدْتُ وَوَلَدَنِي

wa waladtu wa waladan¢

and my offspring and all my fathers and mothers

مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

mina almuslim¢na walmu'min¢na

among the Muslims and the believers,

يَارَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

y¡ rabba al`¡lam¢na

O Lord of the worlds!
