The late Sheikh Abbas Qui in his book Mafatul Jinaan describes the virtue and deeds offered in Rajab’s month. He said that the month of Ramadan, Sha'ban and 'Ramzan' are extremely useful and blessed months, and many traditions have been copied in their virtue. Prophet (PBUH) says Rijab is the great month of Allah and nobody can reach his welfare and benfit, and it is forbidden to fight with unbelievers in this month, and Rajab is the month of Allah Sha'ban is my month and Ramzan is the month of my Umaah and Whoever fasting one day in this month, he will be entitled to the great dignity of Allah, and the wrath of Allah will depart from him and one door from hell's gates closes for him.

Rajab is called as 'Asab' because in this month the great blessings of my Ummah are revealed. So recite as much as you can Astaghfirullaha Waassala Tauba.

It is narrated that if in this month one does not have the power to fast then he should recite the following verse 100 times so that he can receive the reward for fasting in this month.

« سُبْحَانَ الْإِلَهِ الْجَلِيلِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لا يَنْبَغِي التَّسْبِيحُ إِلا لَهُ سُبْحَانَ الْأَعَزِّ الْأَكْرَمِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْعِزَّ وَ هُوَ لَهُ أَهْلٌ »

The most common prayer for the month of Rajab which Saeed bin Taus narrated from Imam Sadiq (AS)

(بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم)

يَا مَنْ أَرْجُوهُ لِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ وَ آمَنُ سَخَطَهُ عِنْدَ [مِنْ‏] كُلِّ شَرٍّ يَا مَنْ يُعْطِي الْكَثِيرَ بِالْقَلِيلِ يَا مَنْ يُعْطِي مَنْ سَأَلَهُ يَا مَنْ يُعْطِي مَنْ لَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ تَحَنُّنا مِنْهُ وَ رَحْمَةً أَعْطِنِي بِمَسْأَلَتِي إِيَّاكَ جَمِيعَ خَيْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَ جَمِيعَ خَيْرِ الْآخِرَةِ وَ اصْرِفْ عَنِّي بِمَسْأَلَتِي إِيَّاكَ جَمِيعَ شَرِّ الدُّنْيَا وَ [جَمِيعَ‏] شَرِّ الْآخِرَةِ فَإِنَّهُ غَيْرُ مَنْقُوصٍ مَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَ زِدْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ يَا كَرِيمُ .
