"The government of the national majority represents a realistic solution in the current stage to produce a service government that takes priorities, first and foremost to provide services and fight corruption," Hakim said during a meeting with Russian Ambassador Maxim Maximov.

He referred to the Iraqi political situation and dialogues on the formation of the next government, reiterating the importance of continuing dialogues between the various political blocs and up to the government of the national majority.

The two sides discussed, during the meeting, according to a statement by the Office of Hakim, "developments in the regional and international political scene as well as relations between Iraq and Russia."
