Al-Wefaq said in a statement that the authorities, including the head of the state, bear full responsibility for the deterioration of Qassim's health, since he's been under house arrest and unable to follow up on his health conition except through security procedures and decisions that impose all the details and conditions of treatment and the required medical treatment to be received.
Al-Wefaq demanded that the siege and house arrest be lifted, restoring all his civil, human and religious rights, stressing that those steps would be "a major part of the efforts towards addressing the humanitarian, rights and political situation which Bahrain needs."
