Iran’s Ambassador: Iran - Iraq trade exchange passed $13 billion

The volume of trade between Iran and Iraq in the last Iranian year (ending on March 20) was more than 13 billion and 210 million dollars, the Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad Iraj Masjedi said.

"Iran is the second trading partner of Iraq after Turkey," he said, adding that $ 6.5 billion of this volume was related to non-oil goods. Iran ranked first among all commercial partners with Iraq ".

"Our goal is to expand relations between Iran and Iraq in all fields, including cultural ones," he said. "Culture is the most effective tool to lay the foundation for relations between the governments of Iran and Iraq and their peoples."
