Major General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the IRGC’s Qods Force ,in a speech in the city of Hamedan west of Iran said that the Red Sea, which was safe previously, is no longer safe for the Americans today.
The Qods force is capable to combat the US military, Soleimani said, adding that the US may start a war but it will not be the party that could end it.
“You can start a war, but we are the side to end it,” he said.
Soleimani's statement comes in response to Washington’s efforts to force the US allies to completely abandon imports of Iranian oil. Tehran, in turn, has threatened to block oil from passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which could lead to global markets' disruption since 30 percent of all seaborne crude oil is shipped through this strait.
The US President Donald Trump “should know that we are nation of martyrdom and that we await him,” the commander said.
"we are a nation of martyrdom and we await you",he said.
“We are near you, where you can’t even imagine ... Come. We are ready. If you begin the war, we will end the war,” Qassem Soleimani said.
"As a soldier, it is my duty to respond to Trump's threats... If he wants to use the language of threat...he should talk to me, not to the president," Soleimani said.
He further advised the US President Donald Trump not to threaten the Islamic Republic.
“This is the way people talk in a cabaret and casino. A cabaret owner talks to the world like this,” he said, stressing that it is beneath the dignity of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to respond to such remarks.
Trump’s all-caps tweet addressed to Iranian President Hassad Rouhani, in which he threatened the Islamic Republic with actions “the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before.”
The tweet came after President Rouhani warned the US against its hostile approach against Iran, saying America should know that peace with Iran will be the mother of all peace while war with the country will be the mother of all wars.
Soleimani also hailed President Rouhani’s courageous remarks about closing the Strait of Hormuz in case the US stops Iran’s oil exports.
“Our president will not give you an answer as your remarks are very worthless, but I will answer you as a soldier,” he noted, adding that the US must face the IRGC Quds Force and its commander.
“What could you do during these 20 years that you didn’t? You went to Afghanistan with dozens of tanks and hundreds of advanced helicopters, and committed crimes. What the hell were you doing with 110,000 troops between 2001 and 2018 [there]? And today you are begging the Taliban to come to the negotiating table,” stressed Soleimani in a speech in the city of Hamedan.
“Never forget that you were looking for diapers for your soldiers, and now you are threatening us?! What the hell did you do during the 33-day war? Wasn’t that just accepting Hezbollah’s conditions for the end of the war?”
The Iranian commander also added that, “Hey gambler Trump! I stand alone against you. The IRGC Quds Force stands against you. We [Iranian nation] have passed many hard times. You start the war, but we end it up, go and ask your predecessors, commanders, and security forces. So do not threaten to kill us. We are ready to stand against you.”
In another part of his statements, General Soleimani said, “Today you have gathered the rubbish of Iran, the MKO terrorist cult, to prove what?”
He said the Red Sea, which used to be a safe place, is no longer safe for Americans today. “I would like to advise Trump to learn a lesson from the ex-presidents of the United States and use their experiences.”
The Red Sea is one of the most important trade routes in the world for oil tankers.
