Several members of Iran’s Quranic Noor (light) Quranic Convoy left for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
The first batch included Quran reciter Qassem Moqaddami and a four-strong choral recitation team from Qom.
Members of the convoy will travel to the Holy Land in five batches.
Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the holy city of Makkah for the annual Hajj.
Iran also sends pilgrims as well as a groups of Quran activists, known as the Noor (light) Hajj Delegation.
The members of the delegation hold Quranic programs, including Quran recitation sessions for the pilgrims.
Recitation of prayers, Tawasheeh (religious singing), participation in choral Quran reading programs, and recitation of Adhan (call to prayers) are also among their programs in Hajj.
