The Local Authority, in Hodeidah, in an emergency meeting, reviewed the details of the massacre of the US-Saudi aggression against the citizens and employees of Al-Thawra Hospital and the Fishing Market.
The meeting under the chairmanship of Acting Governor, Mohammad Qahim, confirmed that the targeting of two vital sites and one of the busiest places, frequented by poor groups in search for a living means, confirms the persistence of the aggression to kill of the sake of killing.
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people, the latest of which was the targeting of the gate of Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeidah and the fishing port, which resulted in more than 150 martyrs and wounded.
The source said that these crimes are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and war crimes against humanity.
The source blamed the international community, especially the Security Council, the five permanent members and the Group of 18, the sponsors of the political settlement process, for the continuous aggression of the coalition in targeting civilians and places of their gatherings.
The aggression, also, seeks to inflect the most destruction possible and to increase the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Voices of Freedom for Media and Humanity, Eye Organization, also condemned the crime, calling on the international community to stand up and carry out its moral responsibility to stop this barbaric and unjust war on Yemen and to demand the formation of an international commission of inquiry into the crimes committed by the coalition countries against innocent civilians.
The Grand Mufti of Yemen, Shams Sharaf Al-Din, explained that the crime against the people of Hodeidah is an expression of the state of helplessness and failure experienced by the aggression on the West Coast.
The Regional Leadership of the Arab Baath Socialist Party, in Yemen, condemned the continued crimes of the US-Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.
The statement called on the international community to hold its legal and moral responsibility for the genocide and blatant violations committed on women and children in addition to criminal practices that bear the hallmarks of terrorist entities against prisoners of war and detainees in secret prisons supervised by the UAE invasion forces.
The Civil Society for Development and Freedoms condemned the terrible massacre carried out by the US-Saudi aerial aggression against civilians. The bloc said in a statement that the massacre is a war crime according to the international humanitarian law, which is included in the four Geneva Conventions and the two protocols.
The local authority of Lahj also condemned the crime, stressing that committing of such crimes is a challenge to the Security Council and its resolutions, especially that it came a few hours before the international envoy to Yemen briefed on his consultations with the various political parties to the Council, which undoubtedly aims to thwart the efforts of the international envoy. The local authorities called on all international and local humanitarian and legal organizations to condemn, criminalize and call for the punishment of such crimes.
