During a visit to the IQNA news agency, Boroujerdi said the work, titled Shams (an acronym for “explanation of the Surahs (chapters) of the Quran” in Persian), will be published in the Iranian holy city of Qom by the Boostan Publications.
The name Shams was selected for the Quran interpretation from among a long list of names, he said.
The cleric noted that Abolfazl Tariqedar has been the editor of the work.
Boroujerdi hoped that the exegesis will be translated into different languages and made available to readers in other countries as well.
He went on to say that efforts will be made to have prominent translators render the work into various languages.
The Shams Exegesis of the Holy Quran will be published in ten volumes.
