The Washington-based Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) organized a sit-in outside the Bahraini Embassy in the US capital in a show of solidarity with Hassan Mushaima.

Activists gathered outside the embassy in Washington DC held up posters of the Bahraini political prisoner reading #HealthForAll.

Mushaima, who is serving a life sentence for his role in Bahrain’s popular uprising in 2011, is reportedly being denied access to desperately needed medical care by prison authorities.

The 70-year-old is a cancer survivor and suffers from multiple health conditions including diabetes.
