Syrian Air Defenses Intercept Hostile Target in West Damascus

The air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army just after midnight intercepted a hostile air target that violated the airspace over the area of Deir al-Ashayer in the western countryside of Damascus near the Syrian-Lebanese borders, SANA reported.

On August 2nd, the air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army confronted a hostile air target to the west of Damascus.

According to SANA, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced Friday that it foiled a new attack on its air base in Hmeimim in Lattakia province which the terrorist groups tried to launch from the areas where they are positioned in Lattakia northern countryside through two drones.

Head of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim Alexei Tsygankov said that the air defense units at the Hmeimim air base destroyed two aerial targets at a safe distance from the base.
