Twenty four Persian carpets and pictorial rugs, depicting different themes, including topics borrowed from Quranic texts, natural landscapes, nomadic culture and life, flowers and social life in different regions of Iran, are on display in the exhibition held in the Panora Culture and Trade Center in Ankara.
Also on display is an exquisite Persian carpet along with delicate silk carpets from Qom and Tabriz, kilims from Khorasan in northeastern Iran and carpets carrying designs from the Bakhtiari tribe in the country.
On the sidelines of the 10-day exhibition, the visitors will have the chance to watch carpet weavers showing their arts live while entertained by traditional Persian music.
