During a speech to mark the anniversary of the 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon on Tuesday night,Nasrallah said the Lebanese Resistance Movement is more powerful than at any time during its history.
He greeted all those who contributed to Divine Victory including resistance fighters, Lebanese army and security forces, people, political factions, Iran and Syria.
Sayyed Nasrallah said, “Today we celebrate victory and we insist to mark this occasion, as we will also celebrate next week the first anniversary of Second Liberation when Takfiri terrorists were defeated in our land.”
Hezbollah Leader emphasized as the victory achieved in July 2006, surely, we will secure victory in the seven-year war in Syria, the war that has the same goals of July war in 2006.
Sayyed Nasrallah added” We insist to mark this occasion in order to consolidate this victory in our culture and memory and to give hope in face of desperation which prevails (in our nation).”
He clarified that the US administration aimed through July war to wipe out resistance in order to reach Syrian and Iraqi border but it failed to reach this goal, underlining that Lebanese steadfastness foiled the US-Israeli plan and delayed their scheme for few years.
Hezbollah Leader said : Today on August 14, 2018 we are more powerful, US and Israel are too weak to stage wars like those launched against us before.
Sayyed Nasrallah illuminated that throughout the last seven years the region has been occupied with wars that have the same goals of July war in 2006.
He pointed out that since 2006 Israel has been deterred , and it has been trying to build up its military capabilities based on its defeat in 2006 and Since then , Israel has been eying resistance and they put defensive plans aimed at confronting possible attack by Hezbollah to liberate Galilee.
Sayyed Nasrallah went on: one Israeli general said that Hezbollah is the second powerful army in the region after Israel; I do not agree with this assessment but anyway it indicates the way Israel views the resistance.
He pointed out that the resistance today with its capabilities, experience, faith, will and bravery is more powerful than Israeli army .
Nasrallah said they aimed at toppling Syria, adding that Israel has been a real partner in the Syrian war through its support to the militant groups in south Syria and Israeli regime said it clear that Damascus fall serves its interests, but all these dreams have gone with the wind.
Sayyed Nasrallah stated that Israel has been exerting pressure on Lebanon and Syria to demarcate land and maritime borders, however, the era when Israel can impose its conditions is over and Israel, which is supposedly strong, is facing a crisis in Gaza.
He pointed out that the Palestinians in Gaza despite the siege and the abandonment, they are constant and offer sacrifices every day.
