1 Million Quran Distributed at Mecca Grand Mosque

The officials of the Grand Mosque of Mecca (Masjid Al-Haram) distributed one million copies of the Holy Quran among Hajj pilgrims at the mosque.

According to almowaten.net, the Quran copies have been given to the pilgrims in line with the programs of the custodianships of Masjid Al-Haram and the Holy Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Al-Nabawi) in Medina on the occasion of the Hajj season.

Ali ibn Hamid Al-Nafi’i, director of the Office for Mushafs and Books Affairs of Masjid Al-Haram, said that the copies of the Holy Book distributed at the mosque were of different sizes and included translations.

Quran interpretation and Quran copies in Braille were also among the books gifted to the Hajj pilgrims, he added.

This year’s Hajj pilgrimage began on Sunday and will run to August 24.

Nearly three million Muslims from around the world have convened in Mecca for Hajj.
