McGurk held a meeting with Osama Al-Nujaifi and touched important files related to the recent developments in Iraq and the current talks among political blocs over the formation of the largest parliamentary bloc.
Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khaz Ali, said that the US president's envoy is exerting pressure on the formation of the government, and revealed that US is interfering in the composition so openly that it sometimes imposes certain figures, warning that if it continues, it will not be tolerated.
The Fatah Alliance in Iraq that said the pressure of the US envoy to weave alliances in Iraq "failed, and will not be a government without Fatah and Saairun." Fatah Alliance predicted that the matter will be settled within two days to ensure participation of Saairun in the Iraqi government.
Spokesman for the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, Mohammad Mohi, considered that Washington is seeking to prevent the alliance between the masses of Fatah and Saairun, and that "US intervention prevents the declaration of the largest coalition."
"The future of the US presence in Iraq depends on who will lead the government," Mohi told Al-Mayadeen. "Washington is trying to impose an Iraqi prime minister in line with its policy.”
Mohi revealed that Iraqi deputies were summoned to the US Embassy in Baghdad, stressing that one aspect of the US forces presence in Iraq is to hold the political decision. Washington's move in Baghdad is "an attempt to capture security, military and political files," he added.
Mohie said that the US administration is working to punish those who fought and defeated , "and Daesh. He called on the United States not to test the patience of the Iraqi People and national forces.
According to informed sources, the Kurdish parties raised conditions during the meeting of the delegation of Saairun and Al-Nasr, most notably Kirkuk file and Article (140) of the Iraqi Constitution on the common areas.
