Al-Houthi Says UN Liable For Economic Crisis in Yemen

Head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi on Saturday, recalled for handing back revenues to the Central Bank of Yemen in Sana'a to ensure the payment of salaries of employees.

Al-Houthi said  that the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith did not abide by his promise to ease the economic crisis, which has increased since his appointment.

"The UN envoy said that ‘his priorities are to alleviate the economic crisis,’ which has increased since his appointment so far,” Al-Houthi wrote on Twitter.

He pointed out that the US-Saudi aggression and its allies are baptizing to introduce newly printed Yemeni Riyals to Aden.

That will collapse the riyal during the visit of the UN envoy to Sana’a to convey a grim picture of the Yemeni people and their unwillingness to peace.
