US-Saudi Raids Killed 442 Fishermen in Yemen

The Yemeni General Authority for Fish Resources, on Saturday, announced that the victims of US-Saudi aggression from the fishermen reached 442, stressing that the material losses of the fishing sector in the West Coast due to the direct aggression exceeded 5 billion dollars.

Head of the General Authority for Fish Resources, Abdul Qadir al-Wadai, told a joint news conference with the leadership of Hodeidah province that the US-Saudi aggression has committed dozens of crimes against Yemeni fishermen in the west coast of the country.

Al-Wadai said that the number of victims of the aggression against the fishermen exceeded 222 martyrs, 206 wounded and 14 missing in the outcome of the final.

He pointed out that three were killed and two were wounded, while 14 others are still missing in an infinite toll of the US-Saudi aggression crime against fishermen in Akban island last

He stressed that the suspicious silence of the international community encouraged the alliance of aggression to commit more crimes against fishermen.

He pointed out that the battles of aggression are aimed at its losses in the territorial waters and also allow fishing vessels to fish illegally in the territorial waters, causing environmental damage that can not be compensated until decades later.

The Director of the local water and sanitation institution, Abdul Rahman Ishaq, called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and stop the targeting of infrastructure in Hodeidah.
