Lavrov: Russia Goes On Helping Syria to Fight Terrorism

Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, reiterated his country's continued support to Syria in combating terrorism and reaching a political solution to the crisis on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 2254.

Lavrov said during a speech at the Institute of International Relations in Moscow, on Monday, that Russia cooperates with the Syrian state in reconstruction and continues to provide assistance to revive the economy and infrastructure.

Lavrov stressed that Russia is cooperating closely with its allies all over the world to achieve security and stability and to resolve international crises on the basis of dialogue to ensure the interests of all parties.

Lavrov said that the US administration's promotion of hostile policies against Russia and other countries is unacceptable, pointing out that Moscow is open to dialogue with the United States and European countries on the basis of equality and mutual respect.

He stressed that Washington seeks to impose its policies of domination and sanctions and created a lot of problems in the world, stressing that these policies are not right and all attempts to impose the one-pole system in the world failed.
