Speaking on Al-Kawthar Program “Provisions of Islam”, Assad Muhammad Qasir said Wahhabis claim to emulate “the pious predecessors” (al-salaf al-salih), but they actually only emulate Taqi ad-Din Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah.

The cleric also noted that Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab wanted to kill his brother who wrote a book in response to the founder of the Wahhabism Takfiri ideology.

Qasir said Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab used to send someone to assassinate anyone who disagreed with him, if he failed to kill him publicly as he declared anyone who disagree with him as an infidel.

The cleric described the Wahhabi as a Takfiri and treacherous, referring to the Takfiri terrorists groups of Daesh, Jabhat al-Nusra and Jaish al-Islam who kill people in the streets, the mosques and Hussainiyahs.

Qasir added that Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab had ordered to give a crazy man, who lived in his town and used to hit people, a sword to kill his brother Suliman while he was in the mosque alone.

But when Suliman saw the man, the cleric added, he became afraid and the insane man threw his sword away.

Qasir had quoted a senior Hanabli scholar as saying that the father of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab warned against his son.
