Ulemas should play role for peace during Moharram in Pakistan: DCO

Pakistan's Deputy Commissioner, Muhammad Tahir Watto on Wednesday stressed Ulemas of different thoughts to play their key role for unity, love, mutual harmony and for maintaining peace during Moharram ul Harram.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of District Peace Committee here at DC office.

He said that Islam thought us lesson of peace, brotherhood, mutual harmony and tolerance. He said that it was responsibility of administration, police and Ulemas of different schools of thoughts to maintain peace during Moharram ul Harram.

He informed the meeting that the district government would bound all to obey given code of conduct during Moharram.
He said that Islam did not allow anybody to create situation of violence and Ulemas while showing harmony, set aside there differences for durable peace. DPO, Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani said that a code of conduct has been drafted with the help of Ulemas of different schools of thoughts for maintaining peace in the district.
He expressed his hope that Ulemas would obey code of conduct during Moharram ul Harram. ADC (Revenue), Asghar Ali Joya, ADC (General), Munawar Hussain Langrial, Ulemas of different thoughts and others were present on the occasion.
