The Ministry held the US-Saudi aggression alliance full responsible for the failure of these consultations because of its position impeding the safe transfer of the national delegation. This position clearly revealed the lack of seriousness in the leadership of the aggression to achieve peace and the existence of a prior determination to thwart the efforts of the UN envoy and undermine the Geneva consultations. This arbitrary action comes in the light of an unprecedented escalation following a series of brutal massacres, its first wave coincided with the moment which the envoy announced the date of such consultations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the fabrications and lies of the pro US-Saudi aggression government and its hypocrisy, incitement and adherence to prevent the sick and injured people to travel abroad for treatment and prevent those who traveled to return to their homeland and families.
The Ministry expressed its deep respect for Oman, its humanitarian attitudes towards Yemeni People and for its willingness to convey the national delegation. The Foreign Ministry thanked the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, and expressed a high appreciation for his balanced positions, his good endeavors and the relentless efforts he exerted throughout the past period to revive the peace process in Yemen.
