'Iran and Europe are constantly in touch and we think we are relatively in the right path,' said Bahram Qasemi.
'The previous plans were either not practical or didn’t have the required guarantees. Some alternative plans were proposed and now we are looking for mechanisms that help the economic collaborations between Iran and Europe,' he added.
Qasemi hoped that foreign ministers of Iran and the 4+1 (Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) will have a meeting on the sidelines of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York to discuss ways to enter new phases.
The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 73) will open on 18 September 2018. The first day of the high-level General Debate will be Tuesday, 25 September 2018, and is scheduled to last for nine working days.
