Pompeo Accused of Infringing Law in His Perjury on Yemen

According to Agency France-Press, Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen accused the US Secretary of State of "breaking the law" when he confirmed in his testimony before Congress that Saudi Arabia is taking "demonstrable actions" to minimize civilian casualties in Yemen.

"It is quite clear that the testimony of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that Saudi Arabia is taking "demonstrable actions" to minimize civilian casualties in Yemen is false, said Shaheen.

"The indiscriminate bombing campaign of the Saudi-led coalition has killed many civilians and it is time to hold the coalition responsible for its actions," Shaheen added.

The USA is trying to evade its responsibility for crimes committed in Yemen holding Saudi Arabia and UAE the responsible in spite of Washington's assisting the Saudi-led coalition with mid-air refueling for its war planes, sharing intelligence and selling advanced weaponry.

Since March 26, 2015, the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen has committed hundreds of massacres that have killed tens of thousands of civilians in addition to the destruction of the country's infrastructure.

Independent human rights organizations say that about 40,000 Yemeni civilians have been killed and wounded in the crimes committed by the US-Saudi aggression  in various Yemeni provinces. The United Nations has placed Saudi Arabia on a draft blacklist of countries that kill and maim children.
