Borders in Terror-Hit Province are Open

Borders in the terror-hit southwestern province of Khuzestan is open, senior Iranian Interior Ministry official said.

Situation in the borderlines is normal and the terrorist attack has not caused problem for the people in the borderlines, the Interior Ministry for Border Affairs Shahriar Heidari added.

The official sympathized with the bereaved families of the victims of terrorist attack and wished health for the injured.

At least 25 people were killed and more than 60 others were injured during Saturday morning terror attack in Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province, in southwestern Iran.

“The terrorists disguised as the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basiji (volunteer) forces opened fire at the authorities and people from behind the stand during the parade,' Governor of Khuzestan Gholam-Reza Shariati said earlier.

The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
