This comes after the US newspaper reported what it described as a "secret memo" of the Foreign Ministry in which Pompeo supports the continuation of military support deals estimated at two billion dollars.

The newspaper said that Pompeo ignored the foreign experts' advice from military experts, who appealed to him not to ratify Saudi Arabia's commitment to reduce its raids against civilians in Yemen as stipulated by the former Congressional requirement.

The Wall Street Journal reported that representatives of the International Development Agency urged Pompeo to stop military aid to Saudi Arabia and the UAE because they were deeply concerned that the Saudi-led coalition was not observing civilians.
