Parsi: Saudi Arabia, UAE Involved in Ahvaz Attack

Chairman of the National Council of Iranian Americans (NIAC) Trita Parsi said in a note that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were involved in the terrorist attack in Ahvaz yesterday and 'the main goal of Iran's regional rivals is to push Tehran and Washington for a larger-than-expected war.

The memo published Saturday at the Middle East Eye website states, 'The terrorist attack in Ahvaz yesterday, unlike the previous terrorist attacks, may lead to a larger regional fire that not only will Iran and Saudi Arabia engage, but also The American foot is also drawn in the middle; perhaps the attack was designed with the aim of launching the conflict.'

This terrorist attack, initially the separatist group of the 'Alavazi National Resistance' claimed responsibility, allegedly associated with Saudi Arabia, has been related to external factors. Regional rivals of Iran, notably Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have publicly pushed for the United States to bomb Iran.

What was previously said in secret was now publicly stated. Notwithstanding, the kingdoms are no longer limited to compelling the United States to take military action and declare their readiness to attack Iran.

The Chairman of NIAC continued, 'Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman last year said in an interview that Riyadh would 'take war inside Iran'.'
