The final stage of Iran’s 41st national Quran competition will get underway in the central city of Arak on October 10.

According to the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, it will be held in two different sections for men and women.

The men’s section is slated for October 2-8 while women will compete on October 9-14.

Winners will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the contest on October 15.

The categories of the Quranic event include Quran recitation, memorization, Tafseer (interpretation), Adhan (call to prayers) and Hadith.

The names of those who have made it to the final round were released by the organization in August.
