Iran Accountable Int

Although President Donald Trump attempted to isolate Iran during his speech at the UN General assembly, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani presented his country as an accountable member of the international community, a France 24 senior editor said.

Armen Georgian, Senior Editor at the international section of France 24 Television Channel said that following withdrawal from the landmark Iran nuclear deal, the United States has been isolated.

Georgian said Rouhani did not deliver an outrageous speech as it was not his first address at the United Nations General Assembly.

The Iranian president said, if you want to re-negotiate, 'We invite you to come back to the negotiating table you left.'

Rouhani went on to say 'There is no better way but dialogue. However, dialogue is two-way. It should be based on equality, justice, and human integrity and honor, and conducted in accordance with the rules and norms of international law.'

Trump announced back in May Washington will pull out of the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers and re-impose sanctions on Iran.

The decision drew international condemnation.
