Iran, Japan Discuss Bilateral Ties

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

Abe talked to Hassan Rouhani who came to New York to attend the 73rd UN General Assembly summit, about bilateral issues and topics of interest.

President of Iran, who is in New York from Sunday evening, has met with the chairman of the International Monetary Fund, the Executive Director of the Afghan Government, and the President of the Republic of Bolivia, President of the Republic of Turkey, President of the Republic of Cuba, Prime Ministers of Norway, Armenia and Belgium.

Speaking at the Nelson Mandela Summit and at the 73rd UN General Assembly meeting was on the agenda of the President in his two-day stay in New York.

President Rouhani also met with some American media directors and interviewed NBC, CNN, and PBS.

The Iranian president also met with his French counterpart and British prime minister last night.
