The train has set off from Moscow and will be driving through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan before entering Iran. Tourists traveling on it are from Australia, Germany, Italy, Singapore, the USA, Malaysia, and Russia.
Once in Iran, their itinerary includes the cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Kerman, Rine, Yazd, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kashan, Arak, Shushtar, Varask, and Pol Sefid bridge in order to become more familiar with the Iranian people, culture, and history.
Tourist trains began work in 2014 to expand the industry in Iran. Significant numbers of visitors have already visited large parts of Iran on the railways. The routes include areas where most of the country’s tourist attractions are available.
