Palestinians in the occupied territories Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza are commemorating the 18th anniversary of 1948 of the popular revolution, during which 13 citizens were killed by the police of the Israeli soldiers during bloody confrontations in early October 2000 after Ariel Sharon stormed the palaces of the blessed Al-Aqsa.

In July 2018, the Jewish law passed by the Knesset enshrines the Zionist entity as “the national home of the Jewish people” and says “the right to exercise national self-determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people.”

National and Islamic forces in Palestine announced its support and called for general strike in Tuesday, too. Palestinian businesses and schools are closed on Monday.

Besides, a rally was staged in Copenhagen on Monday by pro-Palestine institutions operating in Denmark to protest Israel’s Jewish Nation-State law and Trump’s “deal of the century.”

Palestinian activists, refugees, and civil society representatives joined the rally, expressing their firm condemnation of underway attempts to infringe Palestinian rights and end their legitimate anti-occupation struggle.

The rally-goers spoke out against the US-Israel efforts to dissolve UNRWA by cutting finds to the refugee agency and increasing ad hominem campaigns against it.

The protesters also lifted banners and chanted slogans denouncing the discriminatory Nation-State law and the anti-Palestine “deal of the century” advanced by the US President Donald Trump.

The rally stressed Palestinians’ commitment to liberate occupied Jerusalem—the eternal capital of their future sovereign state—and protect their holy sites.
