The Pixel 3 comes in two sizes, with the standard version packing a 5.5-inch (13.75cm) screen, which is slightly larger than last year, and the Pixel 3 XL featuring a 6.3-inch (15.75cm) screen with a large notch up top.
While the physical appearance of the phones had long since leaked ahead of time, Google spent the bulk of the presentation talking about its cameras.
The Pixel 3 still features only a single camera on the rear of the phone, using software to power advanced features like Portrait Mode. There's also Super Res Zoom, which uses the same computational photography tricks astronomers use to photograph planets to make sure your snaps stay sharp even when you're zooming in. Top Shot recognises if you just missed an important moment or took a photo of someone blinking, and suggests a better, earlier moment, and Photo Booth automatically shoots selfies when it thinks you look good.
