5000 Policemen Serving Arbaeen Pilgrims

The traffic police chief of Iran, says more than 5,000 policemen are serving Arbaeen pilgrims on the routes leading to the country's borders exits.

Brigadier General Taqi Mehri said on Sunday at the meeting of the Arbaeen Travels Coordination Committee, attended by representatives from all departments in charge of providing the services to Arbaeen pilgrims, that the traffic police along with other colleagues by using 1,400 teams will be active in the implementation and holding of the Arbeean Plan.

He stated that the traffic and law enforcement police plans will begin on October 11 and will continue until November 5, adding, 'We hope that all related organizations with 100% readiness and in all target provinces and on the route of Arbaeen pilgrims to provide services. '

Head of Traffic Police, pointing out that the three borders of Shalamche, Chazzabeh and Mehran are currently foreseen for pilgrims of Arbaeen, said, 'If the Khosravi border is reopened, traffic police is prepared to provide traffic services and facilities on this border too.'
