In today’s plenary session, the setup of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts was ratified with 159 yeas, 22 nays, and 8 abstentions out of a total of 214 votes.

With the reinstatement of US oil sanctions against this country, Iran intends to use its tourism potential to the fullest to generate a foreign currency income. The Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization has been working under the supervision of the President’s office and its head is selected by the President.
