The most authoritative collections of Shi`ite hadiths

The most famous and authoritative collections of Shi'ite hadiths are four works which, in terms of their importance for Shi'ism, correspond to the Six Correct Collections in Sunni Islam.

Aamal-e-Shabe Eid-ul-Fitr

In view of the great significance attached to this day of Eid, numerous traditions consisting of prayers and worship of God on this day, have been quoted from the Holy Prophet and his Ahl-al-Bayt.

Eid-ul-Fitr Prayers

It is considered by tradition to be an obligatory [Wajib - prayer, though technically it is an optional prayer with the injunction that it is preferable to offer even if optional (Sunnat-e-Muvakkadah)]. This prayer is Sunnat during the period of occultation of the Imam-e-Zamana(a.s.).

FRIDAY DU'A (prayer)

Praise be to God, who existed before creation and the giving of life, and who shall continue to exist after all things have perished.

THURSDAY DU'A (prayer)

All praise be to God who removed the dark night with His power and brought the bright day with His mercy; and clothed me with His light and gave me His blessing.

WEDNESDAY DU'A (prayer)

Praise be to God who ordained night (to be) a cover and sleep (to be a mode of) rest; and made the day (to be the time of) dispersion.
