Soltanieh – World’s Largest Brick Dome
Soltanieh Dome, in Soltanieh – Zanjan Province in northwestern Iran – is the largest raw brick dome in the world. It was constructed in the years 1303 to 1312 on the orders of Soltan Mohammad Khodabandeh, the eight Ilkhani king.
Iranian ‘Ash Festival in Zanjan
The 13th National Iranian ‘Ash Festival began work on 13th August 2018 at the Gavazang (El Daghi) recreational center in Zanjan, northwestern Iran. The event will run for four days in Zanjan. Ethnic groups from across Iran cook the different varieties of this special potage called ‘Ash in Persian with fresh herbs and legumes for the Festival. A large handicrafts show is also staged here.
Rakhtshooy Khaneh Historical Edifice in Iran's Zanjan
The famous edifice of Rakhtshooy Khaneh is located in Baba Jamal Choqoie in Iran's northern city of Zanjan. It was constructed by two brothers named Mashadi Akbar (an architect of those times) and Mashadi Esmail.
