Iranian ‘Ash Festival in Zanjan

The 13th National Iranian ‘Ash Festival began work on 13th August 2018 at the Gavazang (El Daghi) recreational center in Zanjan, northwestern Iran. The event will run for four days in Zanjan. Ethnic groups from across Iran cook the different varieties of this special potage called ‘Ash in Persian with fresh herbs and legumes for the Festival. A large handicrafts show is also staged here.

Every single province in Iran has a unique style of cooking the popular dish named Aash. That being said, Zanjan Province recently held the 11th National Aash Festival, giving each province a chance to present its best recipe.
