The Chartaghi of Iranian Scientists Outside the UN

To the right-hand side of the main UN entrance in Vienna, an edifice has been erected to commemorate the magnificent achievements of Iranian scientists over the past centuries. This four-centered arch is called chartaghi in Persian. It is constructed as a quadrangle with the statue of a famous Iranian personality underneath each arch.

Iran helping neighbours in polio eradication

According to the Iranian daily, Financial Tribune, the head of Iran Pasteur Institute (IPI), Mostafa Qanei, has announced that Iran has been given the task of polio vaccine production- required for immunisation against the disease in polio-endemic countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan - by the World Health Organization (WHO)

Iranian students hold 1st annual scientific conf. in China

At the conference, Iran’s Cultural Attache in China said that “there are 2,600 universities in China none of which ranked below 100 in the world 15 years ago, but now there are 12 universities below 100 and 60 universities under one thousand ranking position.”
